Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
Postventa is a ProtonLab platform that connects dealerships and repair shops with the owners of the vehicles they service. This policy explains what data we process when you use the Postventa app (Android and Windows), what we use it for, who it is shared with and what you can do about it.
1. Who is responsible
- ProtonLab develops and operates Postventa. You can write to us at gapcode@protonmail.com or on WhatsApp at +1 754 231 3968.
- Each dealership is responsible for the data about its customers, vehicles and work orders that it enters into Postventa. ProtonLab processes that data on the dealership's behalf, in order to provide it with the service.
- If you are a vehicle owner and link your vehicle to a shop, what you share with that shop also falls under its responsibility.
2. Data we process
- Your account: name, email address, phone number and profile photo, depending on how you sign in (email and password, Google account, or phone number with an SMS code). Also your language and notification preferences.
- Your vehicles: make, model, year, color, type, license plate, serial number (VIN), mileage and the history of readings with who reported each one, plus maintenance plans and warranties.
- Your dealings with the shop: appointments; work orders with their reason, line items, quotes, approvals with date and time, statuses, assigned mechanic and promised date; payments recorded by the shop (amount, payment method and note; we do not store card details); ratings and loyalty points.
- Messages and photos: your conversations with the shop, the vehicle's check-in and delivery photos, and any photos you attach to messages or fault reports.
- Location: only when you request towing assistance, and only your position at that moment, so the shop knows where you are. The app does not track your location or access it in the background.
- Dealership staff: name, email and role within the shop (admin, service advisor, mechanic, front desk or tow driver).
- Technical data: the identifier used to send notifications to your device, app crash reports (device model, operating system and app version, and the technical details of the error) and a device integrity check used to block automated access.
3. Device permissions
- Camera and photos: only to take or pick the photos you choose to attach.
- Location: only when you request a tow.
- Notifications: to let you know about appointments, changes to your orders, messages and other alerts. You can turn each type of alert off in the app.
You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings. The app keeps working; only the feature that depends on that permission stops being available.
4. What we use the data for
- Providing the service: identifying you, showing your information to you and to the shop you share it with, sending you reminders and alerts, and calculating your next maintenance.
- Security: keeping each dealership's data separate and preventing abuse and unauthorized access.
- Support and improvement: resolving issues, fixing bugs and producing aggregated usage statistics per dealership (activity, order volume and sales) to run the platform.
We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use your device's advertising identifier or any ad-tracking tools.
5. Who we share it with
- The dealership or shop you link to, which sees your name and phone number, your linked vehicles, appointments, orders, messages, photos, fault reports and assistance requests.
- Authorized ProtonLab staff, only to provide support, resolve issues, protect the security of the service and operate it.
- Google (Firebase and Google Cloud), which provides the infrastructure: sign-in, database, photo storage, cloud processing, notification delivery, crash reporting and integrity checks. If you sign in with your Google account, Google Sign-In is also involved.
- Authorities, when required by law.
6. Where it is stored and how it is protected
Data is stored on Google Cloud servers located in the United States. If you use Postventa from another country, your data is transferred to the United States.
It is encrypted in transit between your device and the servers, and encrypted at rest. Access rules prevent one dealership from seeing another's data and one owner from seeing other owners' data, and the most sensitive data —such as each person's permissions— can only be changed by the server.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists and, for service history, for as long as the dealership keeps its Postventa account.
When your account is deleted, we erase your name, email, phone number, photo and notification identifiers from your profile, and your vehicles are unlinked from you. Work orders, quotes, payments and their associated messages and photos are part of the shop's service history and are kept by the dealership. If you want those deleted too, ask the dealership or write to us and we will handle it with them.
8. Your rights and how to delete your account
You can ask to access, correct, obtain a copy of, object to the use of, or delete your data, as provided by applicable law. You can change your notification preferences at any time in the app.
To delete your account, email gapcode@protonmail.com with the subject “Delete my Postventa account”, from the email address linked to your account or stating the phone number you sign in with. We will verify that the request comes from you before deleting it. If you are a dealership's customer, you can also contact the dealership.
9. Children
Postventa is intended for dealerships and adult vehicle owners. It is not directed at minors and we do not knowingly collect data from minors; if we find that a minor has created an account, we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with its date. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email to dealerships.
11. Contact
